Ukata Edwardson Wins 2024 C.D. Wright Prize for Poetry

Ukata Edwardson has been named the winner of the 2024 C.D. Wright Prize for Poetry for their poem “Matrimony of Mimicry and Maintenance.”

Established by The Arkansas International, the C.D. Wright Prize for Poetry honors the legacy of the late poet C.D. Wright by celebrating innovative work that is fully engaged with others and the world. The annual prize is open to poets writing in English who have not yet published a first book, and it includes a $1,000 award and publication in The Arkansas International.

Edwardson’s poem was selected by acclaimed poet Richard Siken.
